Here come the Seattle Mariners. Just about three weeks ago, the AL West side was five games under .500 and few people who enjoy Washington sports betting had belief that they’d be able to make a push for the playoffs. Fast forward to present time and Washington bettors are going crazy for the Mariners odds, as this team has gone ahead and put together a 14-game winning streak. This is easily the hottest team in baseball.
Thanks to Seattle’s hot stream, they currently hold one of the AL Wild Card spots. If the season were to end today, that’d mean they’d be in the postseason for the first time since 2001. This is something people have been waiting for, but now Seattle must stay hot and do everything possible to try and make sure they keep playing at this level. That won’t be easy.
According to a report, though, people all over Washington state are getting in more and more wagers on this team to make the playoffs. It’s important to remember, though, that the Mariners likely won’t be winning the AL West. The Houston Astros continue to look like one of the best teams in the bigs and they have a strong lead in the division over the Mariners right now.
However, things are about to get quite interesting, as Seattle will be hosting Houston for a series this upcoming weekend. With some timely wins, Seattle could make up some much-needed ground in the AL West race. Fans would love nothing more than for the Mariners to record a series sweep in this one. Even if that doesn’t happen, the Ms sure are looking strong.
The Mariners extend their win streak to 14-straight games, the longest streak by a team heading into the All-Star Break all-time.

Julio Rodriguez is ROY’s favorite
Don’t forget in this case, too, that Julio Rodriguez is ROY favorite right now, as the Rookie of the Year candidate picks have really looked sharp during the first half of the season. Through the first part of the campaign, the man known as J-Rod has his 16 homers and added 52 RBI. This is exactly what all of the Mariners fans were hoping to see out of the youngster.
Rodriguez really is playing beyond his years, which led to him earning a trip to the All-Star Game over in Los Angeles. Not only that, but the Mariners also sent slugger Ty France to the midsummer classic. As things stand, the Mariners indeed are nine games over .500, and they are playing with a new level of confidence. This has been great to see, and the fans are ready to pack the house at T-Mobile Park whenever they play.
From a betting standpoint, too, people are going to keep putting money down when this team is hot. The offense has woken up in the best way possible, as guys like Rodriguez, France, J.P. Crawford, and more are really dazzling with the bat in their hands. This has been so much fun to see for everyone, both for the home games and the road games. We all saw how well Seattle looked against Texas.
Before we get too ahead of ourselves, though, don’t forget that Seattle has been close to the playoffs in recent years, too, only to blow it late in the season. This has been a tough pill to swallow for all of the fans out there, but there really is hope that things will be different this summer and fall. Again, Seattle may not win the division, but fans would 100 percent take a Wild Card spot.

Yankees are World Series favorites
As excited as people are for the Mariners over in Washington, they also remember that the Yankees are World Series favorites right now, and that’s not going to be changing. New York is indeed the best team in baseball, with things going smoothly for them. They sent multiple players to the ASG themselves, highlighted by Giancarlo Stanton and the one and only Aaron Judge. Those two are incredible sluggers, and fans love watching them play.
There’s been plenty of drama surrounding Judge, but he’s got the best MLB odds to win the AL MVP. On top of that, the Yankees feel like locks to win the competitive AL East. Should the Mariners grab a Wild Card spot, we could see them take on the Yankees in the playoffs. This would really be something to see, as these two teams, of course, aren’t strangers to being playoff foes. They’ve had some epic battles in the past.
The Yankees would 100 percent be favored to come out on top, but the Mariners would be ready to try and stun plenty of folks in the process. Right now, people all over Seattle and the state of Washington can’t wait to see how things will shape out for the Mariners. This feels like the best product we’ve seen from the Mariners in years, and they have what it takes to get to the playoffs. Only time will tell if that happens or not, but the morale is high here.
