In what has been a true positive for Washington sports betting fans, we’re seeing more and more options open up for people to take advantage of. This is massive news, as before, people who lived in that area would often find themselves traveling to the Seattle area to get things done. Thanks to the team over International Game Technology that will no longer be the case, as they’re teaming up with the Olympia outlet.
“Nisqually Red Wind Casino is excited to offer our guests additional gaming entertainment and elevated fan engagement by introducing an IGT PlaySports-powered sportsbook,” general manager Conrad Granito said via a press release. “Given IGT PlaySports’ leadership across Washington State and the turnkey nature of their solution, we are confident that we’ve found the ideal sports betting growth partner.”
The reception for sports betting coming to Olympia has been widespread, as the Nisqually Red Wind Casino is not only a well-respected spot, but they see countless folks visit their properties throughout the year. It goes without saying, but more people will be visiting now that there are going to be sports betting kiosks that will be present. People can’t wait to make their bets in Olympia, as this is a real game-changer for people in Washington.

No. 1, football is back, and people are going to be checking out the NFL football betting odds, the NCAAF betting odds, and more. Not only that, but the Seattle Mariners appear to be – knock on wood – potentially heading back to the playoffs for the first time since 2001. If this happens, which is looking likely, then. The bets will be flying in.
The Mariners have been one of the best surprises in the MLB this year, with guys like Julio Rodriguez, Luis Castillo, Ty France, and more really putting on a show. This has been great to see for general manager Jerry DiPoto, as he’s invested heavily in the younger players on this team, and they’re finally starting to deliver. With Rodriguez, he’s been one of the top young talents in the game, and he’s in the AL Rookie of the Year conversation.
As for the Seahawks, there’s less optimism for this team for the 2022 campaign. Quarterback Drew Lock struggled mightily in the preseason, which led to head coach Pete Carroll naming Geno Smith as his Week 1 starter. Going from Russell Wilson to Smith is not what anyone was hoping to see. Fans were hopeful that the team would trade for a different QB, potentially even Jimmy Garoppolo.
That didn’t come to fruition, and now Smith will take the field with the rest of the offense against the Broncos to start the season. Even though Seattle isn’t expected to make Super Bowl betting noise, that doesn’t mean people aren’t going to be betting on them consistently throughout the year. There are prop bets and futures picks to be made. The Seahawks will always be a focus for sports bettors in Washington.

College football season will be explosive for betting too. In Washington, people are always ready to place their bets on the University of Washington Huskies plus the Washington State University Cougars. With the Huskies, this team is in a bit of a rebuild, but the fanbase has high hopes for new head coach Kalen Deboer. He’s got what it takes to get UW back at a strong level in the Pac-12.
As for the Cougars, there are high hopes for the Pullman squad, thanks to head coach Jake Dickert. Not only that, but transfer quarterback Cameron Ward has high expectations for this team, with some experts thinking he could potentially be a first-round draft pick next spring. Ward has all the talent in the world. If he plays to his abilities, don’t be surprised if WSU pushes for a Pac-12 title. That would be something to see for that squad.
All fall, you’re going to see countless bets made on the Huskies and Cougars. When they meet in the Apple Cup as well, bets are going to be flying all over the place. It’s a game that people all over the state can’t wait for, and betting on the action is only going to make things even more interesting. That will again be the case in late November of this year as well.
