Buffalo Bills Took Over the Best 2023 Super Bowl Odds in Las Vegas

From the moment the 2022 Super Bowl came to a close, fans had already been talking about who would be the front-runners to win it all next season, with Las Vegas betting firing up early. To no one’s surprise, the Kansas City Chiefs came out with the best odds. Oh, but how quickly things can change. That’s because the Buffalo Bills took over the best 2023 Super Bowl odds in Las Vegas.

Are you surprised by this? Well, you shouldn’t be. Keep in mind that the Bills went to the AFC Championship Game last year and then nearly beat the Chiefs in the AFC Divisional Round this past season. This team is built for success for the long haul, with quarterback Josh Allen being one of the best in the game. He can really hurt you either with his strong right arm or insane wheels.

On top of that, this team’s defense is pretty damn tough to beat. With that said, there’s plenty of people that are surprised the Chiefs no longer hold the No. 1 NFL Super Bowl odds for next season. As of this writing – keep in mind that things can change at the drop of a hat – the Bills are at the top with +700 odds, while the Chiefs are at +750. Imagine if they end up meeting in the AFC title game.

With that said, both these teams figure to be in the mix for the Super Bowl from start to finish next season. With the Chiefs, quarterback Patrick Mahomes has revenge on his mind after KC lost to the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship Game this winter. Will he be able to get that done? Allen, Stefon Diggs and the other Buffalo playmakers will surely have something to say about that.

NFL free agency will have a major role on the Super Bowl odds

As you might have been able to guess, NFL free agency will have a major role on the Super Bowl odds down the road. With the new league season starting on March 16, there’s going to be plenty of intrigue for some big names. This of course includes Davante Adams, Tyrann Mathieu and others. With Mathieu, he’s been a sensational safety for the Chiefs over the years. He’s one of the best in the game.

If Mathieu doesn’t get the kind of contract he wants from Kansas City, he very well could end up leaving town. If that does happen, then it’d be understandable for the Chiefs’ odds to drop a little bit. Mathieu is known for making fantastic tackles, while also having a nose for the ball. Kansas City fans would be devastated if the team doesn’t sign him to a new contract. He’s been linked to the Ravens and Colts.

Meanwhile for the Packers, they’ve got to figure things out with Adams. He’s one of the best wide receivers in the game, if not the best. The two sides didn’t get a contract extension done last offseason. Now, Green Bay could either franchise tag him, or see him join a new team in free agency. That’s of course going to have an impact on Aaron Rodgers’ decision to come back or not. He doesn’t want a rebuild.

So, let’s think about this: the Packers currently hold +1300 Super Bowl odds per the best rated sportsbooks. That’s assuming Rodgers and Adams are back. If Rodgers retires/joins a new team and Adams also leaves Green Bay, there’s simply no chance this team would be in a position to compete for a Super Bowl. The Packers would then easily bounce out of the top five in terms of the odds here.

Don’t forget about the Los Angeles Rams potentially going back-to-back

While a lot of focus, and rightfully so, has been going to the Chiefs and Bills, don’t forget about the Los Angeles Rams potentially going back-to-back with another Super Bowl win. Los Angeles shocked the world this past season by going all the way, finishing things off with a heart-stopping 23-20 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Matthew Stafford finished with three touchdowns in that game.

None were bigger than the one he tossed late to Cooper Kupp to seal the win. For the Rams, they’ve got +1200 Super Bowl odds, which is the fourth-best of any team out there. This makes sense, as they really are a loaded team. However, there are still some pieces that need to be put together before the new season arrives. Everyone is waiting to see what will happen with Aaron Donald and Odell Beckham Jr.

The retirement rumors for Donald have continued this offseason. After the Super Bowl win, he said he’s going to take some time to enjoy himself the rest of the winter and then come to a decision. Meanwhile for OBJ, he’s a free agent. He also tore his ACL in the Super Bowl. It’s up in the air if the Rams will re-sign him or not. If both those players don’t come back, it’d be a massive blow for LA’s Super Bowl hopes.
