There’s arguably no better time in the year for Las Vegas sports betting fans than the start of the football season. With the summer coming to a close, this means that folks are getting amped up for the NFL season to get into full swing. That’s why it shouldn’t be a surprise at all that the Las Vegas Sportsbooks are getting loads of Raiders Week 1 bets heading into the weekend showdown with the Los Angeles Chargers.
Raiders supporters are checking out the best NFL betting odds at a high rate right now and placing wagers on the Sin City squad to record an upset going up against LA. The Chargers, led by quarterback Justin Herbert, running back Austin Ekeler, and wideout Keenan Allen, are 3.5-point favorites. Despite this, people all over Las Vegas aren’t hesitating in betting on the Raiders with a moneyline wager.
In order for Las Vegas to record this road win, quarterback Derek Carr is 100 percent going to have to play at a high level. He’ll be depending on his receivers to make some big plays for him too, with the list of course including Davante Adams. Adams was brought in via the blockbuster trade with the Green Bay Packers during the offseason. Everyone can’t wait to see what kind of chemistry Carr and Adams can showcase.
On top of that, there’s going to be a lot of pressure on guys like Hunter Renfrow and Josh Jacobs to step up as well. With Jacobs, the former first-round pick has all the tools to be a stud in this league, but he’s simply got to stay healthy. Injuries have plagued him in the past, but people are hopeful that he’ll be able to stay on the field for the majority of the year in 2022. Things will all start vs. LA on Sunday.

Raiders aren’t getting a ton of Super Bowl love from the oddsmakers
One thing that is disappointing heading into the new campaign is that the Raiders aren’t getting a ton of Super Bowl love from the oddsmakers out there. This is a completely different team from last season, as not only has Adams made his way to town, but veteran offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels is the new head coach. McDaniel helped the New England Patriots to loads of success.
Now, he’s hoping for more of the same with the Raiders. With that said, the fact that the Raiders’ Super Bowl betting odds aren’t high is a bit of a bummer. People continue to be high on the Chiefs out of the AFC West. That’s always going to be the case when Patrick Mahomes is your starting quarterback. Kansas City traded away Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins, but the team still features loads of offensive weapons.
This of course includes Travis Kelce, one of the best tight ends out there. Kelce is going to have a monster year catching the ball from Mahomes, that’s a given. As for the Chargers and Broncos, LA is always a threat with Herbert throwing the ball. With the Broncos, Russell Wilson has arrived in Denver and he’s also signed a massive extension. People think he has what it takes to help the Broncos capture the Super Bowl glory soon.
That’s not the feeling around the Raiders, but this roster really has what it takes to surprise plenty of people out there. Carr is going to have to play well, but he’s expected to do well under the new offensive system. McDaniels is an offensive genius. That’s a big reason why he was hired by Las Vegas in the first place. It may take some time for things to gel, but from our chair, we think the Raiders will be a team to watch in ’22.
Excitement all around 🤗

NFL bets as a whole are through the roof for Week 1
On top of all the Raiders’ excitement, NFL bets as a whole are through the roof for Week 1. There are some fantastic matchups that people can’t wait for. This includes the Minnesota Vikings going up against the Green Bay Packers. With this great NFC North matchup, all eyes will be on Aaron Rodgers to see how he does in his first game without Adams catching the ball from him like in the good old days.
Rodgers is without question one of the best QBs of his generation, but he has no true No. 1 wide receiver to throw the ball to right now. Allen Lazard is hoping to jump into that role, but he’s certainly got a lot to prove. With the Vikings, Kirk Cousins is a big-time talent himself with a great arm. Young wideout Justin Jefferson will have a lot of eyes on him as well, as he’s a true superstar.
Don’t forget about the Broncos heading to Seattle to take on the Seahawks. This will be a return to the 206 for Wilson, as he helped Seattle win a Super Bowl in 2014. He’s ready to have a big game against his former team. There are a lot of wagers leading up to that game and more will definitely be on the way.
