Super Bowl in Las Vegas could set records for sportsbooks

The NFL season is about to wrap up its 15th week and that’s simply unreal to even think about for Las Vegas sports betting. We’ve seen some big games and teams continue to separate themselves both in the AFC and NFC. People are already thinking about the Super Bowl and betting on it here pretty soon. Well, also 2024, when the Super Bowl in Las Vegas could set records for sportsbooks.

As things stand, teams like the Green Bay Packers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, KC Chiefs Buffalo Bills, Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Rams and others are fired up about closing out the regular season strong and then potentially going on to make plenty of noise in the postseason in 2021. With how competitive things are, folks in Las Vegas are expecting some major bets to be made on the Super Bowl this year.

But remember that the Super Bowl in 2024 has already been set to be played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Folks over in Sin City are already thinking about the prep that needs to get done. If you ask Red Rock Resort sports director Chuck Esposito, there’s no doubt in his mind that the 2024 Super Bowl could blow previous years’ betting numbers out of the water.

“Both the race and sportsbook handle and the economic boom will be off the charts,” Esposito said via the Las Vegas Journal-review. “The Super Bowl is already a destination vacation in Las Vegas. Having the biggest sporting event in the world in the entertainment capital of the world will magnify everything, including the wagering. If you think New Year’s is fun in Vegas, I can only imagine the Super Bowl.”

Las Vegas holding the 2024 Super Bowl will be massive for local businesses

While it might feel a little premature to be thinking about an event that’s more than two years away, Nevada as a whole celebrated the news. That’s because Las Vegas holding the 2024 Super Bowl will surely be massive for local businesses. It’s one thing for folks to head to Las Vegas on vacation like Esposito discussed above, but when the Super Bowl is in town, it’s going to make things more exciting.

This of course is going to be massive for all the local businesses. People are going to be in town throughout the week for all of the events. In addition to placing bets and checking out the NFL Super Bowl odds at the best NFL betting sites, they’re going to be staying at local hotels, eating at local restaurants, shopping at the local malls and so much more. It’s really a win-win for everyone involved.

When Allegiant Stadium was first built, the hope was that the Super Bowl would one day be played there. Now, fans in Nevada won’t have to wait much longer for that to happen. This game is scheduled to be played on Feb. 11, 2024. We know that this feels like quite a ways away, but that contest will surely arrive before people know it. With the prep already beginning, this only makes things more fun for folks.

The NFL odds for that game surely aren’t out there yet, but you know that futures numbers will be presented as soon as the 2022 season gets underway. Remember that the Super Bowl is being played in February of 2024, meaning that this will be the championship game for the 2023 season and not 2024. You’d think the usual standout teams will be in the hunt. Only time will tell if that’s the case.

Super Bowl LVI odds continue to heat up

While the focus of this article is on the big game in 2024, the 2022 Super Bowl odds continue to heat up with January right around the corner. This upcoming February, multiple teams will hope and raise the Lombardi Trophy. The question everyone has is will anyone be able to take down Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this winter? There are several squads hoping to do so.

Currently, the Bucs do hold the No. 1 odds, but the Kansas City Chiefs, Packers, Rams, Cowboys, Bills and others are in the hunt to try and win things. From our chair, we think that the Chiefs and Packers are really picking up plenty of steam. In Week 15, the Chiefs were able to send quite the statement in taking down the Los Angeles Chargers on the road.

In that win, Patrick Mahomes played fantastic football, but we’ve got to give major props here to Travis Kelce. The superstar tight end scored two touchdowns in the victory, of course recording the walk-off score in overtime. On that play, Mahomes hit Kelce for what looked to be a short play, but then Kelce turned up field, escaped would-be tacklers and then scored the game-winning touchdown.

While Kansas City was a bit inconsistent to start the season, they’re playing hot. As are the Packers, with Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams leading the charge on offense. This Super Bowl will also have countless bets made all over the place. It is going to ramp things up for the Super Bowl next year, then of course the Super Bowl in Las Vegas the season after that.
