Ohio Fans Are Thrilled Over the Newest Sports Betting Update

For the good folks who have been counting down the days for Ohio sports betting to arrive, we all know by now that things will be coming on Jan. 1. Well, even more good news has come in, as Ohio fans are thrilled over the newest sports betting update: that update is that a set time has been locked in too. Recently, it was announced that at midnight on Jan. 1, 2023, the sportsbooks in the state will launch, and people can place their bets.

That’s right, as soon as things are officially 2023 and Jan. 1 arrives, nothing will be able to stop people from placing their wagers. This is obviously great news, as no one knows exactly when they’d be able to check out the different sports betting Las Vegas odds to make something happen. With this new time set, though, there’s no longer going to be any speculation, and people are going to be able to move forward in peace.

All in all, it has been a great few weeks and months for Ohio sports betting, as things were able to make their way across the line. There was some worry that perhaps things would be delayed again, but that’s not going to be the case. Now that we know the exact date and time, it has calmed plenty of nerves out there, which has obviously been great to see. Now, the anticipation for Jan. 1 to arrive is only going to keep growing.

It’s important to remember here that this will be midnight on Jan. 1 eastern time. So in theory, once these bets are able to be made, people could actually place bets on games that are still taking place in the pacific time zone. If things match up correctly, people on the east coast time zone in Ohio could place a wager on the college football national semifinal, which is scheduled to take place at night time on Dec. 31. You already know plenty of bets will be made.

Ohio businesses are going nuts trying to land kiosks

With all of the excitement going around the sports betting in Ohio, and as we’ve mentioned before, Ohio businesses are going nuts trying to land kiosks for their establishments. Already, countless bars have applied for a sports betting kiosk license to have the kiosks inside of their locales. This makes a ton of sense, as people are going to be loving the idea of checking out some action at a place and then also have the chance to make in-person bets.

While the setup for online sports betting isn’t going to happen overnight, either, the idea of bars having the kiosks is what has people even more jacked up for the betting to arrive. All over Ohio, there are unlimited sports bars for people to visit. Now imagine a world where they can not only go and have some drinks and food, but they can also watch their favorite sports team in action and place bets only a few feet away too.

This has so many people talking about the betting arriving, and it’s easy to see why. It’s yet to be determined which places will be getting the kiosks, but the competition is through the roof right now on people getting their licenses. It will surely have different restaurants at an advantage over others if they’re able to get that license. We should find out soon enough who will be getting them and which sides will be out of luck moving forward.

People are already looking forward to football bets

The great thing about the official launch date and time is that people are already looking forward to football bets. With the Jan. 1 arrival, that means that some late college football wagers will be able to be made, while people will obviously be checking out the different NFL odds for the late-season action as well. With January betting on the way, this means fans can take a look at the postseason numbers and bet.

Then, once the Super Bowl betting arrives as well, people are going to be able to make their bets for the big game as well. What could be better? Last season, the local Cincinnati Bengals stunned the world by making it to the Super Bowl. Virtually no one thought they had a chance of taking down the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game, but Joe Burrow and Co. were able to do just that. Will the same kind of success be on the way for the Bengals in 2022?

That’s the question that everyone keeps asking themselves. With the AFC North up in the air, Cincinnati will hope to win the division, and people all over Ohio will be ready to try and make some money off of that. Come midnight on Jan. 1 to start 2023, and people will be able to get in on the fun and bet on the Bengals to be the division champs. This sports betting has been a long time coming, and it’s great to see the wheels be in motion here.
