Leeds take on Liverpool in the English Premier League this Sunday, and we believe goals are the way to go for our EPL betting picks in this encounter.
So far this season, Liverpool FC has scored six and conceded just one. While Leeds United have scored four times and conceded eight goals.

Leeds v Liverpool Betting Odds
Let us start our preview by taking a look at the Moneylines.
|Leeds United v Liverpool Match Odds|
As you can see despite being away from home, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool team are favorites with the sportsbooks.
His Liverpool team is -133.3 with BetUS, not bad odds in my view.
As for Leeds United, their soccer betting odds is +333 to win, while a draw is +300.
If I had to call a prediction on the match, I would have to go with a Liverpool win.
Yes, Leeds has improved on their opening day shambles performance against Manchester United, but it wouldn’t have been hard to improve on that showing.
Leeds United Form
So far this season the Lilywhites have drawn two matches and lost one. Leeds currently sits 15th in the EPL table on 2 points.
In their three matches has been a 5-1 thrashing away at Manchester United. A 2-2 draw at home to Everton and a 1-1 away to Burnley.
In all three matches, both teams have scored, and in two out of three, over 2.5 goals have been scored.
Across the country, things have fared a lot better for the 2019/20 English Premier League champions.
So far this season Liverpool has won two and drawn one. The Reds sit 5th in the table on 7 points.
Their form reads, 3-0 win away at Norwich, 2-0 home win over Burnley, and a 1-1 draw at home with Chelsea.
In the season’s opener against Norwich, the newly-promoted side barely laid a glove on Klopp’s side. It could and should have been a far larger thrashing than it ended up.
In their second match against Burnley, Liverpool made slightly harder work of the win than they needed to. The Clarets had their chances, and Liverpool had Alisson to thank for keeping Burnley at bay.
Then in their last Premier League outing, it was a real challenge against Chelsea.
I would have to say the Blues had the better of the match until Reece James got a red card. After that, I would also say that Liverpool never really looked like breaking down ten-man Chelsea.
All in all, it could have been a more convincing start to the season for Liverpool. Although I guess some Reds fans may disagree with that.
Leeds Team News
Marcelo Bielsa’s side has doubts over Robin Koch’s availability as the defender is carrying an injury.
In a slightly better place is Mateusz Klich, who looks likely to return after illness.
Liverpool Team News
James Milner isn’t available for this match, which is a return to his boyhood club.
There are also doubts over the availability of Alisson, Firminho, and Fabinho. The Brazilian trio may be stopped from playing due to a FIFA ruling.
In this fixture last season, the two teams played out a 1-1 draw.
Liverpool led the match for a long period, with Leeds firing in the equalizer after 87 minutes.
FULL-TIME: Leeds 1-1 Liverpool
All over and all square at Elland Road! On a night when the focus was elsewhere given the Super League developments, Leeds show the merits of the Premier League by earning their point against the reigning champions Liverpool.
— Sky Sports Premier League (@SkySportsPL) April 19, 2021
Leeds dominated the possession with 61.9%, while Liverpool had more goal attempts. Liverpool had 17 attempts on goal, with seven on target. Leeds had 12 shots, with five on target.
Last season’s fixture was played under very differing circumstances. At the time Liverpool was struggling for form. And they also looked like they weren’t going to qualify for the Champions League.
In the match between these two sides at Anfield at the start of last season, the Reds won an open and exciting encounter 4-3.
And this is the sort of match I’m expecting this time around with Marcelo Bielsa looking to take on Jurgen Klopp in a battle of egos.
Leeds v Liverpool Betting Picks
There’s no beating around the bush with this one, goals!
Which route do we go down? That is the question. Over 2.5 goals, or both teams to score?
Starting with over 2.5 goals, and that Moneyline stands at -187.5 with Bovada. I’ve seen better odds!
If we take a look at both teams to score Moneyline, it’s a similar story. That bet is also -187.5 for Yes, and +137.5 for No.
I am in favor of either bet, as I can see both happening. But my betting pick is for both teams to score.
